Question by jenn: dehumidifiers in homes. Do they work?

I live in Houston and was debating on getting a dehumidifier for our bedroom. Even though the ac is set low its still humid in the house and feels yucky. Think our insulation sucks. Just wondering if the dehumidifier would help make it feel more comfortable

actually air conditioners ARE dehumidifiers, you just need more air conditioners. they blow hot air outside. the stand alone dehumidifiers don’t and you will have to find a way to empty the water that’s left behind. that’s the dehumidifiers job, get the water out of the air. think about it.
